Sunrise at Loughrigg Tarn 9.00 am on the shortest day, 21st December. The red of the sunrise is reflected in the waters of the Lake. Unfortunately the snow didn't last until Christmas, however, it returned a few days later. The clear air makes the Langdale Pikes seem to be much closer than they really are. |
